Aaron & Angela Bergeron - WEDDING!

This was my first ever wedding to photograph! It was a lovely "Backyard Wedding." That's what the bride called it, but it was actually in the front yard of the Bride and Groom's home. How romantic is that? Very, I'd say.
I learned a lot on my first wedding photography experience. There are some things I will do differently next time. For example, I will try to get a copy of the ceremony reading so that I will know where to be to get the best shots. This ceremony was seriously about 15 minutes long. I almost missed some important stuff! I will also have a meeting with the bride and groom to find out exactly what style they are looking for and how they want their wedding documented. I loved that Aaron & Angela were so laid back and gave free range to do as I pleased but I found myself torn at times wondering if this was really how they wanted me to capture certain moments. I just didn't want to disappoint them because weddings are such special and rare occasions.
I will be scheduling an "after wedding" shoot with the newlyweds. Because of wedding planning and raising three kids, they didn't have time to do bridals before the wedding. They also didn't have much time after the ceremony to do newlywed photos so be looking for some dreamy elegant portraits of Angela & Aaron Bergeron in the near future! I can't wait!

More of Amanda! These were taken in Lovelady, TX. They have a story book feel so I used a paper texture overlay on them to add a little something extra to the image. (click to view large)

Angela and Aaron Engagement Session

Angela and Aaron are getting married! And they want me to photograph their wedding!
YAY my first wedding to officially photograph!
We met up down town to take some pics and Aaron suggested that we take some pics in their back yard so we did. I was excited to find an amazing tree swing when we got there. I like when people make suggestions like that. It makes the photos more sentimental for the couple and people are generally more comfortable on their on turf and it shows in the pics.
